Roald Dahl Day

September 16, 2016 11:28 am

What a busy second week back!

The children have had a wonderful time celebrating ‘Roald Dahl Day’ in their classes. They have read his novels, watched parts of his films, acted out parts of his stories and created fact-files about him. They have also sketched drawings in the style of his author, Quentin Blake. The Year 2 pupils have had an interesting day out to Stafford Castle, developing their knowledge of castles and exploring the grounds.

Pupils have been very busy writing their manifestos for the School Council election and writing their letters of application to be a School Ambassador. The children are looking forward to our special assembly on Monday when all School Ambassadors will be announced. These include: Head Girl, Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy, School Councillors, Prefects, Team Captains and Vice Captains.
