Illness and Accident information
If your child is taken ill during the school day, you or your nominated person will be contacted.
Any injuries will be treated with care and entered into our accident book, if we feel it is appropriate we will contact parent/carers, all parents will receive notification that First Aid has been administered.
Please be aware that any child who has a bout of sickness or diarrhoea, following Public Health guidance, will need to be kept off school for 48 hours after their last bout.
Medicine in school
The only medicine to be given by staff is antibiotics, it must be prescribed by a GP with a printed label stating your child’s name and the dosage required and only where it needs to be administered 4 times daily. A Medication form must be completed with a member of staff, please see the Office staff; prior to medication being given to your child, all other medication should be given at home.
Our School Nurse holds a drop in clinic which will be notified on the school newsletters. If you have any concerns please speak to our Special Needs Co-ordinator or alternately the School Nurse team can be contacted on 0300 123 0995 ext 6205
